B&QWe Will Grow
MPC and Uncommon London gear up the nation for Spring in B&Q’s latest campaign
Spring is seen as a sign of hope and resilience with B&Q’s new campaign that reassures us, “We will grow again.”

Home improvement isn’t just about fixing things, it’s about progress. This beautiful film, created by Uncommon, recognises the departure of Winter and how with it collective optimism grows greater. With the knowing arrival of brighter days ahead as lockdown rules plan to lift, there’s never been a more important time to remember that we will grow again.
The film was directed by Sacred Egg, through Riff Raff, whose style combines animation and photographic shots to showcase intimate moments in our homes and gardens. The film also cleverly nods to a nostalgic feel with the use of home videos as well as the return of Game of Thrones actor, Rory McCann as voice over. The work is set to the moving track ‘Valkara’ from the acclaimed electronic duo Maribou State.
Post production was handled by MPC, led by Tom Harding and Fabian Frank, with Colour by Matthieu Toullet.
Matthieu Toullet commented:
“It was a pleasure to once again team up with Sacred Egg on this beautiful spot for B&Q. Working on different formats such as 16mm, digital, VHS animations is a real treat for any Colourist. Using the different textures and qualities on offer, my aim was to enhance the powerful emotions and sentiment that the campaign evokes”.
