TAG HEUER’S LATEST CAMPAIGN WITH POST FROM MIKROS MPC AND GRADE BY JEAN-CLÉMENT SORET

Created by DDB Paris, directed by Jones + Tino through Stink Paris and shot by Adolpho Veloso, the latest campaign from Tag Heuer marks the release of their new Connected watch. The spot follows three characters using the watch in different scenarios, such as cycling, running and golf. VFX and Post was provided by Mikros MPC and grade by Jean-Clément Soret.

The aim for this campaign was to show the brands passion for precision, perfection of materials and advanced technologies.

Speaking on the motion design involved in the campaign, Jeremy Wulff, Lead Motion Designer at Mikros MPC, comments: “The biggest challenge for the motion team was to remodel light and environment around the athletes shot, most of whom were rotoscoped. The environment had to be cleaned and re-lit… Light balance wasn’t easy as there were many camera moves, smoke, lens flares… The edit was bustling with shots but they were short and well paced, so there was a great variety of possibilities.”

The stunning grade was provided by MPC’s Jean-Clément Soret who said: “A stylistic piece that could have been graded in many different ways with equally beautiful results, Adolfo Veloso DoP who crafted the photography with a definite style gave the first direction in collaboration with Tino from directing duo Jones + Tino, the final session was overseen by DDB Paris ECD Alexander Kaltchev and his team.”
