Brief:

MPC worked in close collaboration with FXX, Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer, to bring explosive VFX and a cute anteater to screens for Dave’s Season 2 trailer.

Solution:

We incorporated a human acting element into the anteater that expressed its unique natural features. The key was to determine the appropriate level of expression needed for each shot.

The trailer was filmed on various rigs against a bluescreen, with the downtown LA backgrounds. It was important that we had visual landmarks over the sequence for continuity. We animated the cameras to sell the story of our dancing pair moving and spinning together, and our teams utilised a combination of drone footage, DMP and CG to make the background to screens.

Success:

Since launching in the first week of June 2021, over 500,000 people have watched the YouTube trailer.
